| Describing this piece Eric says, "The feeling of this artwork connects me to the fun of discovery and the simple yet intense joy we feel when we are doing just what we want to do – in other words, when we are in the spirit of play. It began with a picture I didn’t like but which had wonderful colors. Using various tools, I developed the image, moving shapes and colors around until it assumed a life and an energy of it’s own. Eventually something wholly new, exciting and unique emerged in it’s place." Similar works, including “The Cruel Blessing,” and “Impossible Pleasure,” are in the Showcase. Works in this series are now on exhibition at Progressive Galleries in Lancaster, PA and Bella Mundo in Harrisburg, PA. Eric's work is on permanent exhibition at Gallery 13 in Mechanicsburg, PA. Our new section, Art for Healing, features "Light at the End of the Tunnel," a major piece we donated to the Lewistown Hospital to help launch their Art for Healing program. |
